Personal automation privacy notice
For Ruperts Personal Automation, operated by Raoul Dobal.
This notice covers my private Google-connected n8n integration. It describes that integration rather than the general privacy practices of this website.
Access and purpose
The integration uses Google OAuth authorization to access my Google account. Depending on the permissions granted and the workflow configured, data can include Gmail messages and attachments, Google Drive files and their metadata, and Google Docs content. Workflows can read or manage that data within the permissions granted.
I use the integration for personal content analysis, information organization and storage in my personal knowledge system.
Processing and service providers
The workflows run in my self-hosted n8n instance on a Hostinger VPS. Selected email or file content is sent to OpenAI and Mem for content analysis. Content and analysis results are stored in Mem. Those providers process the data under the terms and settings applicable to my accounts.
Workflow processing and execution records may also contain Google account data. Access credentials are held by n8n so that authorized workflows can run without repeated sign-in.
Retention and deletion
Content saved in Mem remains there until I delete it under the service's available controls. Copies in workflow records and provider systems are subject to their configured retention and deletion settings. Revoking Google access stops future authorized access but does not automatically delete data already copied to other systems.
Revoking access
I can revoke the integration's Google access through Google Account connections and remove its credentials from n8n. Stored content can be managed separately in Mem and the relevant workflow or service settings.
